The artisanal process of traditional mezcal production is as rich and layered as the spirit itself, shaped by agave, terrain, and craftsmanship. These nuances mirror the diversity of rye whiskeys across the United States. To bring these two distinct traditions together, we finished our 6-year-old straight rye whiskey in ex-reposado mezcal barrels for over 4 years. This whiskey opens with aromas of powdered sugar and lemon peel, unfolding into notes of black tea and soft woodsmoke. The classic spice profile of our signature whiskey leads into flavors of salted caramel, charred pineapple, and hints of mocha, with a long, peppery finish.
