This Woodstove Imperial Stout Cask Aged Rye was made in partnership with our friends at Monument City Brewing Company – located just a few miles away from us in Baltimore. Monument City finished their imperial stout in freshly emptied Sagamore Spirit rye whiskey barrels, and then returned them to us so we could finish our 4-year-old straight rye whiskey in the seasoned barrels for an additional 10 months. The result is a deeply flavorful whiskey with malty caramel notes on the nose, and a lingering finish of nutmeg, toasted hazelnuts, and sweet cocoa. Gather with friends and enjoy this collaboration made in the spirit of all the creators and risk-takers in this city we call home.
